Councillor Ian Davey

Elected to the Council in May 2007, Ian is a former IT consultant and has a long record as an environmental campaigner. 

He has served as group co-ordinator at Brighton & Hove Friends of the Earth, helped lead the campaign for the city to celebrate car free day in 2001. 

Ian has also been involved in managing ‘Bike for Life’, a social enterprise which promotes cycling across the city.

Keith is convenor of the 12-strong Green Group of councillors and has served as a local councillor since 1999. 

A former businessman, Keith continues to be closely involved in local community development. 

Keith also represents the local Green Group on the Local Government Association (LGA). 

Keith has also served as the Principal Speaker of the national Green Party.

Pete was Brighton’s first Green Party councillor, representing St Peter’s Ward from 1996 to 2003. 

Pete was re-elected to the Council in May 2007 to represent the enlarged St Peters & North Laine Ward. Sussex born, Pete is a father of two young children. 

He trained and worked as a telecoms development engineer and received a First Class degree in Electronic Engineering and Masters in Engineering with Business Management from Brighton University. 

With strong local government experience behind him, Pete now sits on the Council’s Licensing Committee, and is spokesperson for Culture, Recreation, Tourism.
