Amy is heavily involved in community issues and serves as a social volunteer helping older people in need of home support. Amy returned to Brighton in 2004 after eight years in London where she worked in the construction industry, having studied English at Sussex University. She is now a local fund-raiser and musician, and retains a keen interest in the built environment and sustainability. As a local councillor, Amy sits on the Major Projects Sub-Committee, the Environment (Planning Applications) Sub-Committee, the Culture, Recreation and Tourism Committee, and the Community Safety Forum.
