A look back at the NHS over the decades, privatisation and planned closures, cuts and reform in Sussex.
Controversial sweeping changes have been announced to health services across Sussex, sparking a storm of protest, furious debate and threats of industrialaction. Planned redundancies, closures and cuts to services amount to10% of the workforce and £60 million over the next 2 years, resulting in many patients travelling much further for treatment.Meanwhile, significant funds have been diverted to the private sectorto provide treatment on behalf of the NHS and to Private Finance Initiative (PFI) projects. The NHS is in crisis - how did we get into this mess?
