About Keith Taylor
Councillor Keith Taylor, 51, is the Green Party' of England and Wales' 'Principal Speaker', the closest to a national Green Party leader, alongside Caroline Lucas the MEP for Southeast England.
A former local businessman, Cllr Taylor is convenor (chair) of the six-strong Green group of councillors on Brighton & Hove city council, where he represents St Peters and North Laine Ward.
Cllr Taylor is the parliamentary candidate for the strongest Green constituency in the country, Brighton Pavilion, where Greens hope to topple the sitting Labour MP. In the recent European elections the Greens came first in the constituency and beat Labour city-wide.
Brighton & Hove is a special place -- the way people voted in the local elections made it the country's greenest city. The city needs a radical and progressive voice in Parliament, which puts planet, people and peace at the centre of policy. I can do that job. Give me five minutes of your time, and I’ll give you five years of mine.
I am truly honoured the Party has placed its trust in me to deliver this dream.
